The AI Reality Check
I think we are entirely unprepared for what is coming next. AI is just growing to fast. It is a massive problem.
Look at the big tech companies right now. They only care about money. Trillions of dollars are sitting on the table. Do you really expect them to police themselves? No chance. They want profits. That is all they see.
The government is way behind. They move slow. Tech moves fast. The gap is getting huge.
Behind the scenes? People are actually scared. I mean the insiders who build this stuff everyday. They are terrified.
They see AI going off script and breaking out of rules. Making recipes for bioweapons. That is real scary. It is not science fiction anymore.
Bill Gates is speaking out about it today. He says we need rules right now. We cannot trust teh, the companies to stop themselves. They will just keep pushing.
How Do We Fix It?
Gates has two big ideas. They make sense to me.
Tax the computing power: Tax tech companies for their server power. They use tons of tokens to run these AI models. Make them pay a tax on that heavy usage. Put that money back into normal society.
Save our jobs: We need strict laws right away. We must keep specific jobs strictly for humans. We can't let algorithms take everything from regular workers.
Nobody has a perfect plan yet. But the warning signs are flashing bright red.
If we do nothing, things will get bad fast. It will hurt normal people the most. We need to wake up. This is not just some passing trend. It is a massive change for all of us.
